Zaragoza is implementing a data platform for water management

The Zaragoza City Council has awarded Aquatec Soluciones Medioambientales the contract to develop an Integrated Water Cycle data platform, which will centralise all information on water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pipe networks, irrigation and digital meters in a single system. With an investment of €1.52 million, the project will be rolled out in two phases and is part of the municipal Digitaliza plan, financed with European Next Generation funds. This new data infrastructure will provide a real-time view of the more than 1,300 km of water network, anticipate incidents, locate leaks and improve the sustainability of water management in the city.
