February 13, 2026

DESCRIPCIÓN

On February 10th, during the Data Spaces Symposium 2026 held in Madrid, the winners of the first edition of the European Data Spaces Awards were announced. The initiative, led by the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) with the support of the European Commission, aims to recognise excellence and innovation across the European data space ecosystem.

In the category “Excellence in end-user engagement and financial sustainability”, the award went to DjustConnect, an agri-food data space focused on transparency and farmer empowerment, standing out for its tangible impact and sustainable collaborative model.

In the category “Most innovative emerging data space”, the prize was awarded to sphin-X e.V., a healthcare initiative that promotes data sovereignty and strengthens trust among ecosystem stakeholders.

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists: Catena-X, data.gouv.fr, DEPLOYTOUR, and SM4RTENANCE, a project in which BAIDATA participates and which represents a strong example of cross-sector collaboration in the industrial domain. These awards mark an important recognition of the collective efforts underway in Europe to build a more interoperable, trustworthy, and sustainable data economy.
