The digital economy contributes 25% of Spain's GDP
September 08, 2025
DESCRIPCIÓN
In 2024, the digital economy in Spain reinforced its role as a key driver, accounting for nearly 26% of national GDP. This expansion resulted in a steady increase in turnover and job creation, led by information technology and other digital fields. However, public investment in ICT has fallen significantly and challenges remain, such as the low uptake of cloud services by SMEs and the gender gap. The importance of promoting digitalisation to maintain economic momentum and national competitiveness is reinforced by the fact that every euro invested in digital generates almost three euros in the economy.
