DESCRIPCIÓN
Last Thursday, BAIDATA participated in the informative webinar on the new Data Spaces Kit call for proposals, held following the publication of the official notice in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE). This initiative, part of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and managed by the State Secretariat for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA), aims to promote the creation and consolidation of sectoral and cross-sectoral data spaces in Spain.
With an initial budget of €60 million (extendable), the programme seeks to encourage collaboration among public entities, private companies, and public administrations, fostering data interoperability, sharing, and responsible use. The grants amount to up to €15,000 or €25,000 per participant and €30,000 or €50,000 per provider, depending on the type of project and applicant.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (CET). The selection process follows a non-competitive basis, meaning that proposals will be evaluated in the order they are received until the available funds are exhausted.
During the webinar, experts presented the eligibility criteria, application steps, and key aspects for designing successful projects that contribute to the European Data Spaces initiative, supporting the EU’s vision of trusted, interoperable, and sovereign data ecosystems.
The Trust List of this new call is based on the UNE 0087:2025 specification, developed by the technical committee CTN-UNE 71/SC43, of which BAIDATA is a member. This specification establishes the first common framework in Spain for the creation and operation of data spaces. In addition, BAIDATA offers guidance and support in the preparation of proposals, drawing on the experience gained from previous calls, which have yielded very positive results and strengthened the national data ecosystem.
