Valencia develops hyper-realistic digital twin of its territory

The Valencian Community is at the forefront of technology with the creation of a hyper-realistic digital twin of its territory, led by the Institut Cartogràfic Valencià (ICV). Built from real 3D flights with 18 cm resolution, the tool enables urban planning, public policy design, and emergency management without being physically on-site.

Unlike AI-based models, it ensures accuracy and practical usefulness for technicians and institutions. It also serves as a collaborative platform for integrating urban, environmental, and civil protection data. Experts highlight its strategic, economic, and preventive potential, positioning the Valencian Community as a national benchmark in territorial innovation.
