Published recently in September 2025, the DSSC Maturity Model V2 report is a key framework aligned with the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme. It is designed to help Common European Data Spaces initiatives assess their development progress and operational maturity in a standardized and practical way.

The main goal of this report is to provide data space initiatives with a structured tool for self-assessment, benchmarking, and strategic planning across business, governance, legal, technical, and operational dimensions. By guiding initiatives through maturity stages—from exploratory to scaling—the model helps them align with the EU’s vision of trusted, interoperable, and sovereign data sharing ecosystems, enabling sustainable growth and effective value creation in the European data economy.
