DECADE-X: A sector-specific data space for aerospace and defense

October 03, 2025

DESCRIPCIÓN

Major multinational companies in the aerospace and defense industry have launched DECADE-X, an initiative aimed at improving secure data exchange across increasingly complex supply chains. This data space stems from the collaboration of 18 companies under the NextErA consortium, and the project seeks to strengthen supply chain resilience, accelerate industrialization, enhance traceability, and support sustainability objectives.

Its common framework will allow both large companies and SMEs to share information using standardized protocols without losing control over their data. With Airbus, Collins Aerospace, Liebherr, Thales, and BoostAeroSpace as founding members, DECADE-X is positioned as a leading digital ecosystem addressing regulatory, sustainability, and interoperability requirements in the sector.

Full information about this new data space can be found in the article published by the International Data Spaces Association, and you can also visit its new website.
