Data Spaces Awards Gala

DESCRIPTION

Today, Madrid is hosting the first edition of the European Data Space Awards as part of the Data Space Symposium 2026. These awards recognize the best European initiatives in data exchange, highlighting projects that promote innovation, sustainability, and commitment to users.

This edition has two categories with three nominees for each:

• Excellence in End-User Engagement & Financial Sustainability: the Catena-X ecosystem, the data.gov.fr platform, and the DjustConnect platform.
• Most Innovative Emerging Data Space: the DEPLOYTOUR tourism data space, the SM4RTENANCE manufacturing data space, and the sphin-X e.V. platform for health data exchange.

Organized by the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) in collaboration with the European Commission, the awards seek to increase the visibility of best practices and serve as a guide for the entire European community.
