CESGA begins construction of its new supercomputing center

The Supercomputing Center of Galicia (CESGA), a member of BAIDATA, has started construction of its new datacenter in A Sionlla, accompanied by institutional representatives, collaborators, and team members. This new facility will house the future FinisTerrae IV, a new data storage system, and a quantum computer, strengthening CESGA’s position as a European leader in supercomputing.

The project marks a decisive step toward meeting the growing demand for scientific and technical computing from research groups, companies, and public entities. At BAIDATA, we celebrate this milestone—an achievement made possible through joint effort and a shared vision—which will boost technological development and cutting-edge innovation in Galicia.
