Bizkaia launches the Data Journalism Challenge to promote the use of Open Data

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia has launched the Data Journalism Challenge Awards, an initiative designed to promote the creative and rigorous use of open data available on Open Data Bizkaia. The competition invites journalists, students, designers, developers, and entrepreneurs to transform public information into visual, clear, and engaging stories for citizens.

The challenge features three categories: dynamic data visualisation, data storytelling through animated video, and data-driven reporting. Each category includes prizes of €1,500 for first place and €750 for second place. The call is now open to individuals aged 18 and over, who may participate either individually or in teams of up to four members.
