October 10, 2025

DESCRIPCIÓN

BAIDATA took part today in the Digital Product Passports Festival 2025, an international event held in The Hague that brings together representatives from the European Commission, public administrations, technology companies, and research institutions with the aim of advancing the development and implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPPs).

During the session “Session 2B: CIRPASS-2 architecture,” Jesús Alonso, Director of the Technical Secretariat of BAIDATA, participated as a speaker to explain how data spaces are becoming a key enabling technology for the integration and large-scale deployment of the DPP across Europe.

In his presentation, he emphasized that data spaces enable interoperability, secure information exchange, and cross-sector collaboration, facilitating product traceability and transparency throughout value chains. He also underlined the role of public-private partnerships, such as BAIDATA, in driving a shared data ecosystem that maximizes the value of DPPs across sectors such as industry, energy, mobility, and the circular economy.

The “CIRPASS-2 architecture” session was moderated by Carolynn Bernier, Coordinator of the CIRPASS-2 – Digital Product Passport project, a European initiative working to define a common architecture and technical standards for the implementation of Digital Product Passports within the European Union.

BAIDATA’s participation in this international forum reinforces our commitment to the development of interoperable and secure data infrastructures, as well as our role as a reference actor in building a European data space ecosystem that fosters sustainability, innovation, and collaboration—for the benefit of all our partners.
